I woke up this morning after only being
half asleep and half awake for the last six hours pondering about my life (my
past, present and future). I try to find something to distract myself from my
thoughts because, I am clearly very close to that place Tupac spoke of in his
song when he said “ I wake up in the mornings and I ask myself, is life worth
living, should I blast myself? “
Depression is a very dangerous place to be
in and the news from the various media isn’t helping matters. It’s one uprising
or the other everyday, one murder, one suicide, missing persons, intrusions into
privacy, betrayals of trust, wars, hunger, basically the news is just about
death. Oh, please stop I say!
One race trying to subdue the other, one tribe
the other, one ethnic group the other, all killing one another and for what? Don’t we look alike enough to love, cherish
and care for one another? We create or manufacture reasons to dispossess,
deprive, imprison, usurp, murder or just simply put, kill the other man.
Mankind has not matured enough to create
reasons to live, love, care, protect and share.
We all claim to be religious, we are Buddhists,
Muslims, Christians e.t.c
All the religions of the world have the same or similar
tenets or guiding principles, one of which is “thou shall not kill or take the
life of a fellow being”.
We are very passionate about or religions
to the point of being fanatics and yet we flaunt every rule, every guiding
principle that has been set down to guide us in our lives journey(s). We kill
in the name of the God(s) that have commanded us not to kill. We lie, steal,
loot and plunder and we say “it is for the greater good!”
Our God(s) are ashamed of us and of our
selfish, self serving ways. However, they love us so much they have decided
that the end of the race of man would be brought upon mankind by himself. They
sit watching, waiting, hoping that we would get it through our thick over
educated (and under educated) skulls that the only way we can survive or not
become extinct is by caring, loving and sharing.
The earth has no natural boundary lines,
man is free to go and come to any part as he wills but the artificial lines and
the man made rules keep man in bondage, immobile and unable to enjoy to
the fullest the beauty of this planet on which he was created. He cannot move freely, because he is White,
Black, Asian, Latino etc. We (humans) have drawn lines, where there were no lines.
We put up barriers where there were none. We fight and kill each other for reasons we cannot comprehend. We proclaim equality but practice slavery and slave trade.
The other animals in the animal kingdom look at mankind and see his hypocrisy. Everything mankind is doing good and bad seems to always be shrouded in foolishness, in man's inability to comprehend the whole picture. We (humans) don't seem to understand anything.
I can go on and on about this poor immature being's overwhelming foolishness but I'd rather not.
All I can say is stop all these foolish acts so that I can go back to thinking about me (my past, present and hopefully a wonderful future).
Stop! Oh! Please stop, in the name of God
or whoever and whatever you believe.
